starch mixes rapidly into liquid

freeze/thaw stable

In a large saucepan, whisk full package of gravy mix into 4 L of any temperature water until smooth.
Cook over medium heat.
Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 min., stirring occasionally.
Refrigerate unused portions.
